A Grassroots Campaign That Toppled a Monopoly

Live Nation and Ticketmaster monopolized the live-music ticketing market. For our client, we created a grassroots campaign with the goal of getting lawmakers to investigate their monopoly.

Our Work

We created a suite of paid and organic social media assets to target and rally music fans across the country. We found superfans by targeting adults who were searching or interacting with content about concerts/tours or news about Taylor Swift, BTS, Harry Styles, and Bad Bunny. Through a paid and organic social media campaign, including an influencer campaign, we reached millions of fans who took action by either posting about the campaign themselves or sending a letter directly to Congress. This campaign was awarded Best Public Affairs campaign by PRWeek in 2025.

Results

In May 2024, the Justice Department announced it sued Live Nation Entertainment and Ticketmaster for violating the Sherman Antitrust Act. Since then, dozens more states have joined the lawsuit and two bills have been introduced to Congress.
