Matt Williams is a skilled communications strategist with nearly two decades of experience on Capitol Hill and in campaign communications.
At Precision, Matt provides executive-level communications and crisis support to corporate, non-profit, political, and advocacy clients. He brings his extensive knowledge of messaging, policy, and politics to help clients solve complex problems, strengthen their brands, and reach targeted audiences.
Before joining Precision, Matt served as staff director for the Senate Democratic Policy and Communications Committee, implementing national messaging strategy with the White House and Congressional leadership. He planned, and attended, weekly sessions for Democratic senators and organized the Members’ annual retreat focused on messaging and priorities. Matt also served as communications director for U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow and played an instrumental role in her three successful U.S. Senate campaigns in Michigan. He has navigated several national crises such as our government’s response to COVID-19, the Flint water crisis, and the rescue of the American auto industry. Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan. He lives in Ashburn, VA with his wife Amber and two sons.
