Melissa Miller is a strategic communicator with a proven track record of developing campaigns and delivering results in the corporate, political, and governmental arenas.

At Precision, Melissa helps corporate, non-profit, and political clients hone their messaging strategy to move the needle with key audiences. She works with clients across a diverse array of sectors to manage–and prevent–crises and execute creative campaigns.

Before joining Precision, Melissa managed government and policy communications for Ford Motor Company, supporting the iconic American brand’s transition into the EV era. Her creative work helped build support for American EVs with policymakers across the political spectrum.

Prior to her work at Ford, Melissa worked on campaigns across the country, including as deputy communications director at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) and as press secretary at the Democratic Governors Association (DGA). In her work at those committees, she trained and managed local communicators in dozens of states and helped campaigns execute creative and localized communications strategies to break through crowded news environments. Melissa served as the communications director for Senator John Hickenlooper’s successful 2020 campaign, as the New Hampshire Democratic Party’s press secretary supporting Senator Maggie Hassan’s election in 2016, and in communications roles on Capitol Hill for Representatives Josh Gottheimer and Cheri Bustos.

Originally from the Chicago area, Melissa graduated from Georgetown University where she studied government, French, and performing arts. She lives on Capitol Hill with her husband and son.
