Sarah McHaney is an experienced communications leader specializing in building and evolving brands for agencies and media companies. At Precision, Sarah leads all business development and marketing channels. Previously, Sarah successfully launched the news startup Grid in January 2021 as part of their leadership team and the Director of Communications. Grid was acquired by The Messenger in March 2022. Prior to that, Sarah was the Director of Marketing and Communications at Bully Pulpit International where she won the agency’s first national awards, oversaw a complete rebrand, and helped double the agency’s size and revenue.
Sarah began her career as a broadcast producer at the PBS NewsHour where she produced national stories on the Affordable Care Act, the rebuilding of US auto companies, and an award-winning series on the new (at the time) music streaming industry. She also produced for Katty Kay at the BBC, covering the 2016 primaries and presidential election. Sarah earned her bachelor’s in philosophy from American University. She currently lives in Washington, DC.
