Tim Mulvey is a communications strategist and manager with more than fifteen years’ combined experience in government, campaign, and corporate communications.
A Senior Vice President in Precision’s communications practice, Tim works with corporate, nonprofit, and advocacy clients to develop and implement communications strategies, prepare for crisis scenarios, and navigate a range of messaging and reputational challenges. With years of communications experience at the intersection of policy, politics, and oversight, Tim brings deep relationships with the media and a background of managing high-profile, politically sensitive matters.
Prior to joining precision, Tim was part of the multidisciplinary practice at the DGA Group, working on a range of matters from sustainable energy to global philanthropy to pro-democracy advocacy campaigns. His most recent role in government was serving as communications director for the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol, overseeing all public-facing aspects of the committee’s work. For nearly seven years, Tim was communications director for the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. During the Obama Administration, he held an appointment at the Department of State and earlier worked in the office of then-Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Tim holds degrees from the London School of Economics and Political Science and Northwestern University. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife and daughter.
